Hiatus #3

I’m going out, I may be some time. Actually, I’ll be back in a week and a half. I just have to pop off quickly to Rio to make sure everything’s ticking over smoothly with the carnival: no-one’s spilling Caipirinha on their neighbours samba shoes or anything like that.

Here’s a couple of Brazil-connected poems for while I’m gone. One by Elizabeth Bishop and one by her editor Lloyd Schwartz.

For those in need of a more obsessive and enslaving distraction – play this little game ’til you can scratch like Grandmaster Flash.
